Red Stripe restaurant, located at 465 Angell Street in Providence, is pleased to announce that Donal “Bill” Smith has been named Executive Chef at the Wayland Square establishment.
In his new role, Chef Smith will lead Red Stripe’s culinary team and build upon its long-standing reputation for offering refined comfort food with a French twist. Prior to joining Red Stripe, Chef Smith was Executive Chef at Sweet Indulgence and Twin Oaks, where he worked for more than 20 years, beginning as a line cook and rising through the ranks to become manager and assistant to the chef. He was named “Chef of the Year” by the Rhode Island Hospitality Association in 2011. Bill currently resides in Warwick with his wife Carol and two daughters, Tiffany and Chloe.
